Original S.O.E. Gear has always been -- and remains -- committed to producing the finest tactical gear available, at a fair price. We use between twice as much and six times as much materials as our competitors, yet our prices remain as low, or lower, than theirs. The designs pioneered by John Willis (and still hand-made by him today) have been imitated but never matched. No one makes Original S.O.E.-quality gear except for Original S.O.E.

Original S.O.E. is based in San Diego, California. John Willis has been making the toughest gear on the planet for over a decade. He is an avid outdoorsman and is happy to say he has his dream job.
